Small Satellite Solar Array Drive Assembly
The small satellite Solar Array Drive Assembly听(SADA) is a lightweight and compact power听solution for positioning solar array panels.听Continuous rotation of the solar array is听facilitated by the integration of a slip ring听assembly. Position telemetry is made available听using Moog鈥檚 noncontact position sensor听technology. The SADA is comprised of modular听components, allowing modifications to meet听mission specific requirements. The drive axis听is comprised of a stepper motor and a gear transmission accommodating an听open-loop command and control scheme.
